WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Mooresville High School standout Molly Fitzpatrick has signed with Grace College to play tennis next fall.
Fitzpatrick is arguably Mooresville's finest girls' tennis player. She is on pace to graduate with the most wins in program history after a sterling four-year career. She was honorable mention for All-State as a junior and was also All-District.
"I love that I will be able to grow in my faith, academics and athletics at Grace. When I visited Grace, it just felt like home," Fitzpatrick said. "I'm excited to discover what my calling is and also to improve athletically and contribute to the growth of the team."
Fitzpatrick was part of the team's historic first sectional championship as a freshman. She has served as the team's captain the past two years and has also been named the squad's Most Valuable Player.
"Molly has been an integral part of Mooresville's tennis program for the past four years. Molly is not only an outstanding athlete, be she excels in the classroom and the community," said Mooresville head coach Mike Teders. "Our tennis program has benefitted from her leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship. She will truly be a great asset to Grace College in more than just athletics. She will be greatly missed at Mooresville."
Outside of athletics, Fitzpatrick has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the school's Champions of Character initiative. She is the daughter of Stephen and Stacy Fitzpatrick and resides in Mooresville, Ind.
