COACH'S COMMENTS: "Houston is a great young man with a great personality. He is a tremendous competitor who will play his heart out and understands what it takes to win. He is very athletic and brings solid tools to the field, the plate and the mound. He and Jaron come from a great summer team/program. Houston will be a great asset and fit to our program for the next four years."

HOUSTON'S COMMENTS: "I chose Grace College because the atmosphere was very friendly just like my hometown/high school. I saw familiar faces as it is close to home, which is also one thing I like so my family can come watch me play baseball. It is very affordable and many of its utilities are on the modern side of things which I like. The baseball players were very friendly and Grace College was a good place to come and compete. I also chose Grace because of my future teammate Jaron Mullet."

JARON MULLET

HIGHLIGHTS: An accomplished outfielder from NorthWood High School … helped NorthWood win a sectional and regional title as a senior in 2017, advancing all the way to the 3A semistate championship game … was named NorthWood's team captain and Mental Attitude Award winner … native of Nappanee, Ind.

COACH'S COMMENTS: "Jaron is a great addition to our program. He is a high IQ player who will show up everyday ready to get better. He plays baseball with a high composure and will compete at a high level. Jaron and Houston come from a great summer team/program. Jaron will help us in the outfield right away."

JARON'S COMMENTS: "I chose Grace College because of the small campus and Christ-loving atmosphere. Grace has a great baseball program which provides an awesome opportunity to make new friends and grow closer to God."

CJ TREVINO

HIGHLIGHTS: An award-winning catcher from Franklin (Ohio) High School … a two-time All-League performer in three varsity seasons … was invited to the East-West All-Star Game … served as team captain for three years … earned the team's Iron Man and True Grit Awards … native of Franklin, Ohio.

COACH'S COMMENTS: "CJ is a high quality individual with tremendous character. He is an extremely hard worker and will bring a high motor to practice everyday. He is a scrappy and high IQ baseball player who will compete to the very end. He will be a great asset and help us at the catching position."

CJ'S COMMENTS: "I chose Grace College because of the welcoming yet competitive nature Lancer Baseball portrays. Right away I felt at home. The players and coaches were friendly and helpful, however, that feeling was met by an overwhelming sense of competitiveness and a determination to be an elite group of players, an honor I now get to be a part of. Besides baseball, the campus feels like a second home, and they had the major I've always wanted. It was a great fit to further my academic and athletic career."

MATT DESKINS

HIGHLIGHTS: A standout infielder/catcher from Mason (Ohio) High School … earned Mason's Coaches' Award for two straight seasons … batted .322 as a senior with 13 RBIs in 25 games … a native of Mason, Ohio.

COACH'S COMMENTS: "Matt is an awesome young man with a great family. He is a strong follower of Christ and will bring a lot of energy to our team. Matt has a great bat and fits in with our style of play. He is a competitor and truly loves to play the game. Matt brings a lot to the table and will be a great asset at Grace for the next four years."

MATT'S COMMENTS: "I chose Grace for multiple reasons. When I went to the campus, I fell in love with it. I really like the coaching staff and their coaching styles. I feel like I will fit into the program well. Grace offers the major I want, and it's a great school. It also allows me to grow in my spiritual walk with God, get a great education and continue my passion of playing baseball."
