WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's Isaac Stuckey was recognized nationally on Wednesday as the NAIA National Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. He was named the Crossroads League Field Athlete of the Week on Monday following his first outdoor performance of the year.
Stuckey won the hammer throw at the IWU Polar Bear Invitational with an NAIA "A" mark of 187-feet-5. His mark set a school record and is currently the top mark in the Crossroads League and No. 2 in the NAIA for the outdoor season.
Stuckey has qualified for four NAIA Nationals in his career, including the 2018 NAIA Outdoor Championships which will be held May 24-26 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The Lancers' next outdoor race is the George Glass Invitational on April 7 at Taylor.
