WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Gage Sefton of Grace's men's basketball team was selected as the NCCAA National Player of the Week on Monday.
Sefton needed just 12 shots to score a team-high 21 points, leading Grace in scoring in a road win at IU East. He played 18 minutes and shot 9 of 12 from the floor (75 percent) and 3 of 3 on 3-pointers.
Sefton is one of six players who average at least 9.0 points per game for the Lancers. He is shooting 51 percent from the floor, 63 percent on 3-pointers and 90 percent on free throws.
The No. 4 Lancers (5-0) are off to a perfect 5-0 start to the year. Grace will begin Crossroads League play at home on Wednesday.
The Lancers will host Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, following the end of the women's matchup between Grace and Taylor.
