WARSAW, Ind. - A hotly contested match went against Grace's men's tennis team on Friday.
Lewis-Clark State defeated the Lancers 4-3 in a narrow matchup.
In doubles' play, Grace won at No. 2 doubles. Facundo Paredes and Ivan Antinori claimed a 6-3 victory at No. 2. David Sandi and Francisco Margaria narrowly lost at No. 1 6-7 (5-7).
Paredes was victorious at the top singles' court by the score of 7-5, 6-1. Fabricio Galvan (No. 3 singles) and Ramiro Candia (No. 4) were also winners in straight sets.
But the Warriors pulled out the remaining singles' courts to secure the match, including a three-set winner at No. 5 singles.
The Lancers will look to rebound on Saturday with a 9:30 a.m. match against No. 8 Northwestern Ohio. It will mark Grace's seventh match against a team in the NAIA Top 25.
