The Grace College Athletic Department exists for the purpose of glorifying God by helping make disciples of Jesus Christ, developing competitive athletic teams and sharing the Gospel message within the sport culture.
The athletics' program is an integral part of the educational mission at Grace College. Competition in athletics makes a significant contribution to the development of the total person and can be used effectively as part of the training program that prepares a person for service and leadership.
Lancers' Athletics focuses on the following objectives in developing student-athletes:
- Assists in the developing of personal character and Christian values.
- Provides opportunities for a significant dynamic growth process in discipline, sacrifice, self-control and teamwork.
- Desires to be a credit to the institution and to compete effectively at appropriate levels of competition.
- Commits to providing Christian leadership through dedicated and capable coaches.
- Advocates spiritual growth both on and off the field of competition.
Grace's Athletic Department endorses and supports the Grace College Mission Statement which states: "Grace College is an evangelical Christian community of higher education which applies Biblical values in strengthening character, sharpening competence and preparing for service."
