WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Grace's men's tennis team continued its dominance in conference play with a pair of convincing 5-0 victories at the Don Cramer Tennis Courts on Wednesday. 

In the opening match against St. Francis, Facundo Paredes and Ivan Antinori teamed up at No. 1 doubles to take the set 6-2. Ramiro Candia and Nicolas Doria clinched the doubles point for Grace, winning their match 6-0 at No. 2 doubles. Francisco Margaria and Kye Barrett also competed and won their matchup 6-1.

In singles play for the Lancers (4-0, 4-0 CL), Doria made quick work winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 spot. Barrett, No. 6 singles, continued his career unbeaten streak disposing of his opponent 6-0, 6-0. 

Pablo Gregori and Candia nailed down the victory at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.

The afternoon session saw some new faces in action. Gabe Jarvis and Landon Gibson each made their collegiate debuts at No. 3 doubles against Mt. Vernon. They teamed up to win their set 6-3.

No. 1 and No. 2 doubles kept the same pairings from the morning as Paredes/Antinori and Margaria/Barrett kept things rolling to secure the doubles point.

Paredes earned his point at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0 and Gregori continued his strong play finishing 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Doria and Barrett tallied the final points in convincing fashion to win 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0 and No. 3 and No. 5 in the rotation.

Cesar Garcia also made his debut, competing at No. 6 singles. He was ahead 6-1, 4-0 in his match before Grace clinched the final point.

The Lancers will hit the road to continue conference play on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Huntington. They will face off against Huntington and Spring Arbor, beginning at 9 a.m.
