FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team dispatched Indiana Tech on the road on Saturday afternoon.
The No. 17 Lancers proved their ranking with a 6-1 win over the Warriors, who are receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
Grace (18-5) won seven of the nine courts on Saturday, including two of the three doubles' courts.
Javier Gallego and Luis Cordoba were dominant with a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles. Pablo Gregori and Salva Pons pulled out a narrow 7-5 win at No. 1 to secure the doubles' point.
All but one of the singles' matches were decided in straight sets. Salva Pons won the lone three-setter at No. 2 singles (5-7, 6-3, 10-8).
Gallego at No. 1 singles, Gregori at No. 3, Cordoba at No. 4 and Manuel Marques at No. 5 all won two-set matches against their singles foes.
The Lancers will continue play on April 13 with a home match against Goshen.
