WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team made quick work of Spring Arbor in the Crossroads League Tournament.
The Lancers won 4-0 over the Cougars in Monday's quarterfinal match.
With the win, Grace advances to the semifinals. The Lancers will take on Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday; the semifinals and finals will be held in Marion, Ind.
The doubles' point was a battle. The Lancers pulled out a narrow 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles, thanks to Aurelien Coan and Stergios Papadopoulos, to strike first.
Andreas Polichronopoulos and Manuel Marques secured the opening point with a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
Mahefa Rakotomalala started singles' play with confidence. He was nearly perfect with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles.
Polichronopoulos was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at No. 1 singles, and Benjamin Rahine finished off the victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2.
