Jones charges into third place to end NAIA Nationals

SILVIS, Ill. - Camron Jones capped off his historic career in fitting fashion on Friday for Grace's men's golf team.

Jones made a dramatic charge up the leaderboard in the final round of the 2026 NAIA National Championships.

He climbed nine spots and finished a career-best third place in the national tournament. It marks the highest individual finish at the NAIA championships in school history.

As a result, Jones was chosen to the NAIA All-Tournament Team. He improved his finish in the last three NAIA tournaments, improving from 12th place (2024) to 7th place (2025) to 3rd place (2026).

Jones could not have begun the day better. He eagled his first hole on the 10th green.

After a bogey on 12, he rebounded with another birdie on 14 to move to two-under. He maintained that score, completing his first nine holes with a -2 to move into fifth place on the leaderboard.

His final nine holes were steady; he bogeyed twice and birdied twice, including a birdie on the second-to-last hole of his career.

His final round of 68 was the lowest score in the field on Friday. He finished in a two-way tie for third place overall, three strokes from the medalist position.
