Box Score 2 GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Playing their fourth match in two days, Grace's volleyball team produced a split in the Georgetown Tournament on Friday.
Grace swept Asbury in the morning's opener, defeating a team who was receiving votes in the NAIA poll. The Lady Lancers won 25-23, 25-22, 25-18 in the match to hand the Eagles (9-4) the loss.
Bryan College then dealt the Lady Lancers a four-set defeat to conclude the tournament. The teams split the opening two sets with Grace winning 25-15 in the second. But the Lions went on the take the match with 25-21 and 25-23 victories in the final two games.
Although Grace had more kills and digs, Bryan recorded 12 block points against Grace. Calah Kruse finished with 14 kills and 10 digs to lead Grace, and Hannah Clemmons had a match-high 26 digs. Grace Woolsey recorded eight kills and three block assists, and Ellie Harp had 39 assists and six kills.
Harp was named to the All-Tournament Team after the weekend.
The Lady Lancers resume Crossroads League action on Wednesday with a home match on Wednesday 7 p.m. against Marian.
