SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Lady Lancers' offense struggled to click into high gear against Spring Arbor, losing 68-51 on Saturday.

Grace's women's basketball team hit just 2-of-14 from beyond the arc for the game and committed 19 turnovers against the Cougars (9-7, 1-3 Crossroads League).

The Lady Lancers battled closely throughout the first half and trailed just 16-15 after the first quarter. Spring Arbor outscored Grace by five in the second quarter and led 33-27 at the break.

Grace shot 48 percent from the floor for the first half. Nine different players scored for Grace in the opening half.

Grace found offense harder to come by after halftime. The Lady Lancers (5-11, 0-4 CL) struggled to make 29 percent of their field goals in the second half.

Spring Arbor ripped off 24 points in the third quarter to take a commanding 57-39 advantage. Although Grace held the Cougars to 11 points in the final quarter, it was not enough to erase the deficit.

Maycee Davis led Grace in scoring with nine points, adding seven rebounds and three assists in her second career start.

Sarah Feasby tallied 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals, and Brooke Sugg added six points.

Haley Richardson scored five, and Pam Miller, Darian Patton and Hannah Adams each produced four.

The Lady Lancers will return to the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center next week after a month absence. Grace hosts Huntington on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
