INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A poor offensive night doomed Grace's women's basketball team on Friday in the Crossroads League Tournament semifinals.

The Lady Lancers (15-17) struggled mightily in the second half in a 79-50 defeat against No. 3 Marian.

Grace produced only 18 points and shot 23 percent from the floor after halftime. The Knights (29-3) forced 19 turnovers by Grace, scoring 14 points off those miscues.

Chloe Pridgen was an offensive bright spot for Grace, hitting 7-of-10 from the floor for 14 points in just 14 minutes. Haley Richardson tallied 12 points, and Pam Miller scored seven on 3-of-4 shooting.

The first half seemed to set up the semifinal game for a close finish. Marian held a slight 16-15 lead after one quarter. Pridgen scored the final four points of the period for Grace, and Vironnica Drake scored five.

In the second quarter, Grace pulled in front. Miller produced all seven of her points in a three-minute span to break open a tie and give Grace a 29-24 edge.

The Lady Lancers still led by three with 1:22 remaining, but the Knights wrested control of the game over the final 90 seconds. Marian ended the half on a 10-0 run, aided by three straight turnovers by Grace. The Knights went into halftime with a shocking 39-32 lead after the final frantic two minutes.

Marian used its newfound momentum out of the locker room in the third quarter; the hosts quickly opened up a 15-point lead as Marian outscored Grace by nine in the period.

Matters got worse for Grace in the fourth quarter. The Lady Lancers sputtered their way through the period, only scoring four points. The Knights took advantage, pulling away until the final buzzer.

Drake finished with eight points and five rebounds, and Kelsie Peterson had 2 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

The Lady Lancers now shift into preparing for the NCCAA National Championships, hosted by Grace from March 15-18. Grace will host a regional tournament game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Oakland City.
