Lancers bounced from league tournament

GOSHEN, Ind. - Grace's run in the men's tennis Crossroads League Tournament ended on Tuesday with a 6-3 defeat at Goshen.

Max Rozas was Grace's strongest performer in the tournament quarterfinals. He won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, and he teamed up with Diego Zamora to win 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Rozas and Zamora earned the only doubles' point for the Lancers (6-7).

The only other win for Grace in singles came from Lucas Fonseca. He lost the opening set 6-0 but showed resilience to battle back 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

"We had our chances and played well overall. Max lost to his opponent earlier at ITAs but tonight beat him in straight sets," said Grace head coach Andy Lewis. "Lucas also did a great job of not giving up. We came up short, but I am proud of our guys."
