MARION, Ind. - Grace's men's and women's tennis team kicked off their seasons at the 2026 ITA Regional Championships this week.

The highlight for the Lancers came in doubles' play. Mahefa Rakotomalala and Benjamin Rahine battled their way as the No. 4 seed through the doubles' bracket.

The duo won a pair of matches 8-3 on Thursday. On Friday, they won the quarterfinals 8-6 and claimed the semifinal win by the same score over the No. 2 seed in the field.

Saturday's final saw Rahine and Rakotomalala square off with the top seed from Huntington, and the Lancers completed the upset to claim the doubles' championship.

The men's other highlights include Stergios Papadopoulos and Aurelien Coan battling to the quarterfinals in the doubles' bracket as well, including an upset of the No. 3 seed.

Manuel Marques and Alexander Andersen won their opening doubles' match.

In the singles' field, Alexander Andersen, Rahine and Papadopoulos reached the round of 16 before bowing out. Coan made it to the semifinals of the consolation bracket.

On the women's team, Lauren Harris and Faith Valentine advanced to the round of 32 in the singles' bracket, and Landry Schrock reached the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket.

Valentine and Schrock made it to the final 16 in the doubles' tournament, and Harris and Shannon Brumbaugh won their opening doubles' match.

Grace's next outing is a tournament at UIndy next weekend.
