WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's men's basketball team opened up the Terry Polston Hoops for Hope with a dominant 107-61 victory over Silver Lake on Friday.

All 14 healthy Lancers scored a point with five players reaching double digits. As a team, the Lancers shot 56 percent from the floor and had 25 assists on 39 made field goals.

The Lancers improved to 7-0 on the season and will look to make it eight straight on Saturday. Grace wraps up the home tournament at 4 p.m. against Emmaus.

In the first half, Grace was deadly with its shooting touch. Grace shot a blistering 73 percent from beyond the arc, making 8-of-11 on 3s. 

Before five minutes had expired, Grace had already buried six triples. Charlie Warner, Jaret Sons and Haden Deaton each hit a pair of 3-pointers, giving the Lancers a comfortable 19-5 lead.

The Lancers maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the half. Grace's cushion quickly expanded with a 22-2 charge late in the opening half.

Tim Swanson hit a pair of 3-pointers to spark Grace's run, and Cody Holmes, Martin Schiele and Noel Mpie each scored four during that spurt.

Grace had a commanding 56-25 lead at halftime. The team shot 69 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the foul line.

The Lancers never led by fewer than 29 for the remainder of the contest, substituting freely after halftime.

Mpie registered his first collegiate double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Sons tallied 18 points by shooting 6-of-7 overall, and Deaton shot 7-of-10 for 16 points and six assists.

Warner hit four 3-pointers for 12 points, Swanson had 11 points with a trio of triples, and Braxton Linville handed out eight assists.

Holmes did not miss a shot, scoring eight points on 4-of-4 shooting, Schiele scored eight points in 12 minutes, and Joseph Smith chipped in six points and nine boards.
