Lady Lancers eye shot at national title

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's women's basketball team enters the final week of its season with one goal in mind: winning a national championship.

The 2018 NCCAA National Basketball Championships come to town starting Wednesday, providing Grace a chance to hang a banner in front of its home crowd. To win the championship, Grace will need to win three games in four days at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center against stiff competition.

The women's team was given the No. 4 seed in the eight-team bracket. The Lady Lancers will face No. 5 Emmanuel (Ga.) on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m.

Grace's second game of the tournament will be on Thursday with the time and opponent to be determined by Wednesday's outcomes.

Other teams in the tournament include Southwestern Christian (Okla.), Concordia (Mich.), Greenville (Ill.), Hiwassee (Tenn.), Mid-America Christian (Okla.) and Yellowstone Christian (Mont.).
