WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's women's tennis team continued its perfect start to the season with a 7-2 victory over Indiana Tech on Tuesday.
The Lady Lancers (3-0) played with a shortened squad in the hot, humid conditions at Miller Athletic Complex.
Carrie Copeland and Molly Fitzpatrick won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, and Jenna Jackson and Jayna Armstrong eased to an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Morgan Mast blew by her opponent at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0, and Shelby Bankson held on for a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4.
Grace won several courts by default, including No. 3 doubles, No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles.
The Lady Lancers resume Crossroads League play on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. match at Huntington.
