WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's women's tennis team kicked off the Crossroads League Tournament in emphatic fashion, dominating Bethel 7-0 on Tuesday.
The Lady Lancers will travel to second-seeded Marian on Thursday for the semifinals of the tournament.
Emily Mast and Dayana Ortega were efficient at No. 1 doubles with a 6-1 win. Carrie Copeland and Jayna Armstrong won easily at No. 2 (6-2), and Morgan Mast and Gretchen Adams cruised to a 6-3 victory at No. 3.
Grace had three perfect singles' victories. Emily Mast (No. 1), Ortega (No. 3) and Morgan Mast (No. 5) did not drop a game in quick outings.
Copeland coasted to a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles, and Shelby Bankson also won comfortably 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6.
Armstrong wrapped up the sweep with a 6-2, 6-4 scoreline at No. 4.
