HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Grace's women's soccer team opened up Crossroads League play with a 3-0 victory at Huntington on Saturday.
The No. 17-ranked Lady Lancers (9-1) dominated the away match, holding a 20-6 advantage in shot attempts and taking nine corner kicks.
Grace tried 10 shots in each half, and Grace's first goal came 29 minutes into the match. 
Alexis Larimore netted in the 29th minute for the only tally of the first half.
The Foresters (3-6) could only muster two shots in response after halftime as Grace continued to build its possession attack.
In the 55th minute, 
Sacia Hanson beat a defender along the endline. She passed in front of goal to 
Baylei Peters, who beat the goalkeeper for a 2-0 lead.
Less than three minutes later, Grace struck again. 
JJ Aalbue, the reigning NCCAA and CL Player of the Week, continued her goal-scoring form. The freshman found the back of the net at the 57:04 mark to complete the match's scoring.
Madison Putman earned the 90-minute shutout with three saves to her credit. She was protected well by 
McKenna Cruz, 
Lea Moessinger, 
Hannah Tkacz, 
Anna Kuhl and 
Brooke Kohler.
Aalbue shot nine times with four on goal, and 
Liz Van Wormer, Larimore and Hanson each shot twice.
The Lady Lancers will remain on the road Saturday, playing at Goshen at 7:30 p.m.
