Grace slips twice at Lourdes

SYLVANIA, Ohio - Grace's volleyball team could not pick up a win on the opening day of the Lourdes Classic.

The Lady Lancers lost in three sets to Lawrence Tech in the first match before falling 3-1 to Lourdes in the nightcap.

Grace had trouble slowing down LTU in the opener. The Blue Devils hit at a .223 percentage as a team compared to .139 for Grace.

The first set went to extra points before LTU snuck away with a 27-25 win. The Blue Devils then pounded out 29 kills over the final two sets to secure the sweep.

But the Gray Wolves countered with a nine-point win in the second set and then held on for a 25-23 win in the third set to seize control.
