WINONA LAKE, Ind. - For the second time this season, Grace's men's tennis team upset No. 19 Marian.
On Thursday, Grace cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Knights (7-3) in the semifinals of the Crossroads League Tournament.
The top two seeds in the league will face off Saturday in the tournament championship. No. 2 seed Grace will travel to top-seeded Indiana Wesleyan for an 11 a.m. match.
Thursday's match saw Grace come out with energy from the first serve. Ramiro Candia and Mauricio Corty blanked their opponents at No. 3 doubles, and Max Rozas and Fabricio Galvan secured the doubles' point with a 6-4 win at No. 2.
Rozas was lethal in singles, winning the top singles' court 6-1, 6-0. Corty was also strong with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
Pavle Popovic wrapped up the semifinal victory with a 6-2, 6-3 scoreline at No. 5 singles.
The Lancers (11-1) will be playing in the conference tournament title match for the first time since 2012.
