WINONA LAKE, IND. - Grace's men's and women's basketball teams once again prepare to host the annual Hoops for Hope cancer benefit tournament this Friday and Saturday.
The two-day event raises funds for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund (KCCCF). Admission to watch the games is $7 per day, and all proceeds will go to the KCCCF. Any cancer survivor is welcome to attend the tournament free of charge.
This year's tournament will feature five games over two days. The women will have one game in the weekend when Grace hosts IU East on Friday at 6 p.m.
The men's tournament, named after D.A.R.E. Officer Terry Polston, is a classic format and includes Grace, Grace Christian, West Virginia Tech and Huntington.
Grace will play Grace Christian on Friday at 8 p.m. On Saturday the Lancers will take on West Virginia Tech. It will be the first meeting between the two squads since their NAIA National Championship opening round game, a matchup which was canceled hours before the scheduled tipoff in 2020 due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
