Women’s Basketball unveils incoming signees

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace’s women’s basketball team is excited to announce the incoming class of recruits for the 2021-22 season.

Head coach Dan Davis, entering his fourth season, has brought in a talented crew to next year’s squad. The Lady Lancers are coming off a fifth-place finish at the NCCAA Nationals, winning two games at the national tournament. Grace is adding five freshmen to go along with a NCAA Div. II transfer.

We are super excited for this strong recruiting class. We have five freshmen and a transfer, and all of them are great fits for our culture. We have a good mix of size, speed and strength. We are excited to see what they will bring to the table. We are very optimistic for this class.

                    KARLEE FELDMAN

To sign somebody of her caliber late in the summer really puts an exclamation point to what we considered a strong recruiting class. She will have an immediate impact on our team. With her size, strength and speed, she will be dynamic. Defensively she will add a lot to our paint defense, and offensively she gives us a dominant back-to-the-back scorer. She can also hit a jumper or take players on the drive. She's a great fit to our program and culture.

I chose Grace because I was looking for a school and basketball program that has a family atmosphere. I felt welcomed the second I stepped on campus. I’m excited to continue building relationships with the team and coaches and to continue growing as a basketball player and an individual.

Karissa comes from a powerhouse program in Colorado, so she knows winning. Many of her teammates are playing college ball, so she's used to competing at a high level. She will be a strong inside-out player for us, and we're excited to see what she will bring to the court. It's exciting to expand the door in our recruiting as well.

I loved Grace because of the small community feel surrounding the school. The people I met on my visit were great. There is a strong basketball atmosphere and opportunities to grow in my faith. I'm ready to be a great teammate, work hard and do what I can to help the team win games.

The campus at Grace feels comfortable and very safe. I live on the south side of Indianapolis, so I enjoy the feeling of community more that I've noticed at Grace. I've played against a lot of the girls already, so that helps. Coach Davis always has a constant positivity to him, and he loves to take care of people. I hope to inherit some of that while I'm here.

When I first met Coach Davis, I recognized right away how much pride he takes in his team, family and community at Grace College. He always wanted to make me feel at home because that's the biggest aspect of the team. The community is very family-like at Grace, and the coaches and players made me feel very much at home. That made my decision very clear. I'm excited about the next four years, and I cannot wait to make new best friends!

          KENSIE RYMAN

We've been watching Kensie since we got to Grace a few years ago. She's a tough, hard-nosed player. She has a very high IQ and can play on the ball or be a shooter on the wing. She is a scrappy defender and has a quarterback mentality on the court.
COACH DAN

  • Set a school record by making 90 percent of her free throws in a season

I'm ecstatic, excited and thankful that Coach Davis gave me this opportunity. I really am looking forward to being part of this program. I get to play with my sister again. I felt like we took that for granted when we played together at Warsaw. Knowing that I can get a few more years with her at Grace excites me.
