Grace adds quartet to 2023-24 roster

Grace women’s basketball is excited to welcome four newcomers to the 2023-24 roster.

The Lancers look to build off of last season's success after making the NAIA Tournament for the first time in program history.

Position: Guard
Height: 5’9”
Reason for choosing Grace: “My desire for a college was to go to a Christ-centered school where I could gain a great education and continue my basketball career. At Grace 'Christian' isn’t just a label, it is authentic. As an athlete, the welcome and attention from the coaches and teammates helped solidify my decision.”

Three year varsity starter at New Richmond
2nd Team All-Conference honoree during her sophomore and senior season
Finished her senior year third in the conference for scoring
Was top ten in the conference in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks during the 2022-23 season
Was named captain in her final high school season

Height: 5’8”
Reason for choosing Grace: “I chose Grace because I love the Christian environment. I love that they are competitive and want to compete. The coaches are so fun, yet they will push you to be your best. I chose Grace because I believe this is where the Lord wants me to be."

Was third in the state during her season with 25.5 points per game.
Averaged a double (25.5 ppg, 10 rpg) while also nabbing 4.7 steals and dishing out 3.4 assists per game
Broke four Greencastle school records during her senior season: Points in a game (46), single season scoring (688), Single season rebounds (283) and single season steals (127).
2022-23 County Player of the Year
After transferring to Greencastle for her senior season, helped the Tigers to improve their win total by 17.

The family culture around the program is what I was looking for, and I feel like the Christ-centered community is a place where I can grow as an athlete and as a person. On the court, they play a fun and exciting brand of basketball that I wanted to be a part of!"

Reason for choosing Grace: I chose Grace and the women’s basketball program because in each person that I met I could see the love and joy that they had for Christ and for each other, and I knew that this was a family that I wanted to be a part of."

The first thing with any incoming class is all about culture fit to our program and to Grace, and these four young ladies fit our culture perfectly. We are very excited with the work ethic, competitiveness and the drive to be the best that all four of these ladies have. They are a little more advanced both physically and athletically than most freshman entering their first season and I think it will help them make a quicker adjustment to the intensity of the college style. Overall I am really excited with this class and can’t wait to see them develop.
