WINONA LAKE, Ind. - In a full day of tennis, the Lancers claimed a pair of victories to move to a perfect 5-0 on the season, including a 4-0 mark in the Crossroads League. Grace topped Goshen 6-1 in the opener and then returned later in the day to win 6-0 over Huntington.

Against Goshen, Morgan Mast and Jenna Lewis started things off with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles to help the Lancers claim the doubles point. In singles, No. 1 player Lydia Ruegsegger dropped the first set, but came back to win 3-6, 6-0, 10-7. Anna Graves, Lauryn Riegsecker, Lewis and Kiersten Martin also won singles matches for Grace.

The Lancers dropped one doubles match against Huntington, but Ruegsegger and Martin won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, while Mast and Lewis took No. 3 to claim the doubles point. In singles action, Graves won the No. 2 match 6-2, 6-2, while Martin won 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot. Three of the matches went to three sets, with Grace capturing all three. One match was not completed because of darkness.

"I couldn't be more proud of all of our girls today," said Coach Marcus Moore. "To beat two really well coached teams was a big momentum boost for us. Every single girl made a contribution to our success."

Grace will travel to Spring Arbor on Tuesday to face the host and Indiana Wesleyan in another doubleheader.
