INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Grace's women's basketball fell 62-52 to No. 6 Marian on Wednesday night.
The Lady Lancers (15-8, 5-6 Crossroads League) played tough throughout, but they could not overcome a hot-shooting knights' squad who picked up their 36th straight regular season conference victory.
Grace's five-game winning streak was snapped as a result of Wednesday's defeat.
The Lady Lancers got on the board first after Kaylee Patton took advantage of a Grace offensive rebound.

Marian closed out the quarter strong and brought the game back even at 18 by the quarter break.
Both teams started out the second quarter cold from the field. They combined for just four made baskets through the first five minutes.
The Knights burst out of their slump, going on a 9-0 run to grab a 29-22 lead.

A late three from the Knights was the dagger as Grace's upset bid fell short 62-52.
"Tonight was a battle between two quality teams," said Grace head coach Dan Davis. "Obviously our turnovers were a factor, but we still had our chances in the second half. We didn't capitalize on some good looks and defensive stops, and they did. Our girls will use this game as an opportunity to get better, and we will get back to it Saturday."
Ryman finished with a game high of 22 points. Feldman narrowly missed her second 20-rebound game of the season with a 16-point, 19 rebound performance.

Grace will also be celebrating "Katip Day" on Saturday to honor Dr. Bill Katip who recently retired from his role as school president.
