MARION, Ind. - Grace's offense was muted during a 3-0 defeat at No. 19 Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday.
The Lady Lancers were held to 21 kills during the sweep, hurting their cause with 24 attack errors as well.
In the opening set, IWU unleashed a 12-1 run to gain separation. Grace had little in response and fell 25-13.
The second set saw another early run by the Wildcats. IWU scored five unanswered to open up a slight lead.
A pair of kills from Cassadi Colbert kept the score within range, but the Wildcats pulled away to win by eight.
The Wildcats seized control early in the third set, opening up a 10-1 lead. IWU rolled away to a big win in the final set to conclude the match.
Colbert's six kills and Jadyn Ross's five kills led Grace's offense, and Grace Erwin's 10 digs paced the defense.
The Lady Lancers end the regular season with a pair of home matches this weekend. On Friday at 7 p.m., Grace will play Mt. Vernon Nazarene. On Saturday at 3 p.m., Grace will host Huntington.
Saturday will also be Senior Day to honor Grace's graduating class.
