WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's women's tennis team added one to the win column on Friday with a decisive 7-0 sweep over Judson University on a sunny afternoon at Miller Athletic Complex.
The Lady Lancers (5-5, 3-5 CL) grabbed the early lead by earning the doubles' point 3-0.
Kiersten Martin and
Lydia Ruegsegger cruised at No. 1 doubles 6-1. The other doubles match saw
Gretchen Adams and
Addy Jarvis take care of business 6-3.Â
Grace benefited from a lack of depth on the opposing side as the Eagles were forced to forfeit one doubles match and two singles matches.Â
After sitting out doubles,
Anna Graves held serve at No. 1 singles and quickly defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-2.Â
Ruegsegger, from the No. 2 spot, rolled through her match 6-2, 6-3 to extend the lead. Martin was able to push through as well 6-4, 6-3 to put Grace one point away from the sweep.
