WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's women's basketball team picked up a convincing 84-56 win over the Bethel Pilots on Wednesday night.
Karlee Feldman had another stellar outing, leading Grace to the 28-point victory. Feldman topped 15 rebounds for the seventh time this season.
In the first quarter, the Lady Lancers (13-5, 6-2 Crossroads League) got into transition early and quickly jumped out to a 7-2 lead.
Grace's defense was relentless, forcing the Pilots into six turnovers which they turned into 12 points.
Grace shot 50 percent from the field in the first quarter, while holding Bethel to just three made baskets on their way to a 22-7 lead at the quarter break.
The Pilots cut the lead to 10-points early in the second quarter, but a three-point play from Feldman quickly swung momentum back in Grace's favor.
Peyton Murphy scored a fastbreak basket that pushed the Lady Lancers lead up to 16-points.
The Pilots cut the lead back down to single digits before the Lady Lancers bolstered the lead back to 14 points going into the intermission.
Feldman double-doubled in the first half with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Grace outscored Bethel 24-10 in the paint. 11 players saw action for Grace in the first half.
In the third quarter the Lady Lancers completely took control. Grace scored the first four-points of the quarter and never looked back.
Feldman added six more rebounds in the quarter and
Kaylee Patton scored eight points as Grace outscored the Pilots 25-14 in the third stanza.

Dan Davis emptied his bench in the fourth quarter as all 13 players saw action in the victory.
Carissa Wiegman scored four points in the quarter as the Lady Lancers cruised to the 84-56 victory.
Feldman scored 19 points to go along with 20 rebounds and five blocks.
Maddie Ryman was on triple-double watch with 17 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Kiersten Findley scored 13 points and also reaching double digit points was Patton and
Peyton Murphy with 13 and 10 respectively.
Grace will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Huntington for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
