MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Grace's women's basketball team is now off to its best Crossroads League start in program history after beating Bethel 75-47 on Wednesday night.
The Lady Lancers (15-5, 8-2 CL) have won eight of their first 10 conference games and remain just one game out of first place in the conference standings
Maddie Ryman paced Grace, pouring in 22 points to lead the Lady Lancers offensively in the convincing victory.
Karlee Feldman scored Grace's first four points en route to a dominant first quarter to the Lady Lancers.
Peyton Murphy and
Kaylee Patton hit back-to-back 3-point shots to put Grace ahead 15-7 midway through the first quarter.
Feldman then went on a solo 4-0 scoring run to push Grace's lead to double digits.
Molly Long entered the game and hit a late trifecta to send Grace to the first break ahead 29-15.
Grace's offense was near unstoppable in the first quarter, hitting on 73 percent of their shots.
The Lady Lancers offense cooled off in the second quarter but Grace's defense stepped up, not allowing Bethel to chip away at the lead.
The Pilots were unable to convert a shot from the field for the first 3:53 of the second stanza.
Grace's advantage was pushed to 18 points when Ryman converted from range with her third trifecta of the game.
Bethel continued to be stymied by the Lady Lancers defense, as they were held to just three made field goals in the second quarter.
Grace entered the halftime break with a 44-26 lead.

The Lady Lancers opened up their lead to 22 points early in the second half as Grace continued to roll.

The Pilots were unable to draw closer than 20 points in the quarter as the game entered its final 10 minutes with Grace leading 62-40.
The Lady Lancers left no doubt in the fourth quarter, as they opened the final stretch with an 8-0 run to extend their lead to 30 points.
Carissa Wiegman hit a pair of free throws and
Bekah Marshall capped off Grace's night with a 3-point shot to put the game's final score at 75-47.
Of Ryman's 22 points, 18 came via the long ball. The junior guard went 6-9 from beyond the arc. Feldman scored 14 points while also grabbing nine rebounds and two steals.
Kiersten Findley narrowly missed a double-double with 11 rebounds and nine points. Murphy dished out seven assists while scoring nine points of her own.
Grace finished the game shooting 43 percent from the floor, 41 percent from beyond the arc and 77 percent from the charity stripe.
Grace is back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. as they host Huntington.Â
