LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Grace's cross country season continued in Kentucky on Saturday.
The Lancers battled against a largely NCAA Div. I field at the Louisville Classic, competing against well over 200 runners in each race.
Grace's women placed 21st in the Blue Race, competing against several NCAA Div. I opponents. The men were 30th in the Blue Race. Grace did not race a full squad as the team keeps an eye on postseason competition.
Caroline Kolb led the way for the Lancers with a 19:34.6. She finished just outside the top-60 in a race that featured nearly 230 runners.Â
Cadence Manning (20:35.2) and
Madelyn Skidmore (20:40.3) finished within seconds of each other as Grace's second and third runners on the scoresheet.
Heidi Spahr followed that duo with a time of 21:05.2.
The next group of runners finished around the 22-minute mark with
Alana Bohls (22:01.3),
Janelle Albrecht (22:11.6) and
Avery Samms (22:18.8) rounding out Grace's top-seven.
On the men's side, Hayden Mullet finished with a time of 26:58.4 to pace Grace. Three runners came home in the 27s with
Ryun Hoffert (27:38.0),

"We had some great individual performances today on a warm morning. Not everything went as planned, but we continue to progress and learn from race to race," said Grace head coach
Brian Dewey. "We are just about ready to shift our training and are eager to see what more lies ahead."
The Lancers will race again in Upland, Ind., on Oct. 11 for the Ray Bullock Invitational.
