Volleyball earns NAIA berth, will host Saturday

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - For the first time in 23 years, Grace's volleyball team is headed to the NAIA National Championships.

Grace earned an at-large berth to the NAIA tournament, marking the second NAIA appearance in team history and first since 2001.

The Lancers were also selected as one of the 24 host sites. Grace will host Missouri Baptist in the NAIA Opening Round on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.

It will mark the first NAIA national tournament volleyball match hosted by Grace in school history.

Grace has enjoyed a groundbreaking season under head coach Katie Hill. The Lancers earned their highest NAIA ranking (No. 14) in program history and currently boast a 20-10 record.

Grace is the reigning NCCAA national champs after claiming the national crown at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Missouri Baptist, who is receiving votes in the NAIA, brings a 25-11 record into Winona Lake. The Spartans are riding a 13-match winning streak, and they've won 23 of their past 25 matches.

Saturday's match will be live streamed at www.gclancers.com/live. The winner of Saturday's Opening Round match will advance to the NAIA's final site in Sioux City, Iowa. The final site takes place from Dec. 4-10 at the Tyson Events Center.
