WARSAW, Ind. - Grace's women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four with a convincing 6-1 win over Goshen on Friday.
The match was moved indoors to the Warsaw Racquet Club due to chilly, windy conditions. The Lancers (12-5) made quick work of the Maple Leafs on the indoor courts.
Geraldine Salinas and Lydia Ruegsegger teamed up for a 4-2 win at No. 1 doubles, and Jimena Ramirez and Alejandra Sandoval were 6-1 victors at No. 2 doubles.
Ramirez blew past her opponent at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-3 win. Sandoval (at No. 4 singles) and Kiersten Martin (No. 5) were equally dominant with straight-set wins.
Salinas picked up the singles win at No. 3 as her opponent had to withdraw. Goshen did not field players at No. 3 doubles or No. 6 singles.
The Lancers are scheduled to play at home twice to end the spring season, including Saturday against Indiana Tech and April 18 against Oakland City.
