PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - Grace College's men's soccer team came out on the wrong end of a dramatic 1-0 decision on Monday afternoon.

The Lancers (0-3-1) had nearly earned a 0-0 decision against No. 10 Mobile, but the Rams scored the game's lone goal in the waning seconds of Monday's contest to upend Grace.

The match was also Grace's second of four consecutive games against teams ranked in the top 15.

Mobile looked to draw first blood early in the contest as they directed a trio of shots toward goal, but Matteo Conci and the Lancers defense held firm.

After weathering the early onslaught, Grace seemed to settle into the game and controlled the pace of play through the middle portion of the opening half.

Seongwhi Lee and Joao Laranjo each had their eyes on a goal ahead goal for Grace, but both players had their attempts turned away by the Rams' goalkeeper.

With 10 minutes left in the half, Conci made a pair of saves back-to-back to keep Grace even with Mobile at 0-0.

At the halftime break Grace was being outshot 9-5 and Mobile had one corner to the Lancers' zero. There were 13 total fouls in the first half and each team was given a yellow card.

Grace withstood a pair of golden opportunities in the opening minutes of the second frame as the game continued scoreless.

The Lancers were forced to play from their own end for much of the second half but with 15 minutes left in the game Grace threatened to break the deadlock.

Sebastian Lozano had a try on goal that knocked away the Mobile goalie. Two corner kicks ensued Lozano's shot, including that was crossed into the box and headed toward goal by Gavin Morgan before being blocked by a Ram defender.

With just six minutes remaining Grace had another shot on goal but they were unable to solve the Rams' goalie who remained perfect for the afternoon.

The game entered the final minute still scoreless, but just seconds before the final horn Mobile scored to claim the 1-0 win.

Grace finished the game being outshot 18-10, but had just one fewer shot on goal. Corner Kicks were 7-2 in favor of the Rams and 28 total fouls were called. Grace had six different players with a shot in the contest and Conci made four saves.

Grace will return to action on Saturday for another top-10 showdown. The Lancers will travel to Fort Wayne to take on No. 9 Indiana Tech at 4 p.m.
