WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's men's basketball team swept the first Crossroads League awards of the season on Monday.
Gavin Betten was named the CL's Offensive Player of the Week, and Ian Raasch was the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
The duo helped No. 7 Grace get off to a fast start, beating Governors State 105-90 in the season opener.
Betten enjoyed a stellar collegiate debut, tallying a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 8 of 10 from the floor.
Raasch stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot.
The Lancers will host the first day of the Crossroads/GPAC Challenge this Friday. Grace will host No. 19 Morningside on Friday at 6 p.m., which will be followed by Huntington vs Briar Cliff at 8 p.m.
Grace will then take on Briar Cliff on Saturday with that game to be played at Huntington.
