Maddy Poynter continues to earn national recognition after being named the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
The award comes after Poynter helped the Lancers to a historic 172 point outburst against Ohio Christian. The junior guard averaged 34 points across two wins for the Lancers and also dished out 7.5 assists per game.
Poynter becomes the first Lancer player since
Peyton Murphy to be named the NAIA Player of the Week. She was named the NCCAA and Crossroads League Player of the Week on Monday.
Grace will return to action on Wednesday night against Taylor.
