MARION, Ind. - The 2025 outdoor season for Grace's track and field team opened up on Friday and Saturday with IWU's Polar Bear Invitational.
Olivia Adkins had the highest individual finish for the women, earning third place in the 400-meter run in 1:01.60.
In the 100 hurdles, Madelyn Yoder was sixth (16.24), Emma Conrad was seventh (16.30), and Makayla Neal was 10th (17.69).
In the high jump, Emily McCreary earned fifth (5-feet-1.25), and Sophie Rupp was eighth (4-11.5).
Lanae Crowe had a fifth-place throw in the discus (136-2) and 12th place in the shot put (35-7.75). Kaitlyn Strietelmeier was 10th in the 100 (13.19) and 14th in the 200 (27.93).
In the women's 1,500, Tame Baylis (5:01.44) and Morgan Welch (5:01.82) finished stride for stride in 10th and 11th place respectively.
Cece Mitchell ran to an eighth-place finish in the 5,000 (18:30.89), and Makayla Neal was 11th in the javelin (88-2).
The men's 4x400 relay team of Logan Clark, Jackson Winey, Carter Clear and Caleb Nichols produced a fourth-place finish (3:30.41).
Mick Wright earned a fifth-place showing in the 100 dash (10.97), and Michael Muiruri was 10th in the 110 hurdles (15.94).
Cole Johnston led a full Lancer contingency in the 1,500, finishing 12th overall at 4:09.42.
In the throwing events, Brock Lengacher was third in the javelin (168-feet-6), 15th in the discus (139-2) and 17th in the hammer (151-10).
Carter Paeschke was just behind Lengacher in the javelin with a fifth-place throw of 165-1.
The Lancers will compete next at Cedarville University with the Yellow Jacket Open on March 29.
