WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Ian Raasch collected a national academic honor for Grace's men's basketball team.
Raasch was named Second Team Academic All-America by the College Sports Communicators. He was the lone underclassman to receive an All-America nod in the NAIA.
To receive Academic All-America status, student-athletes are voted based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Raasch currently boasts a 3.78 GPA as a management major.
The Lancers had several members of the team earn academic recognition. Grace had four players be named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, including Raasch, Gage Sefton, Carter Stoltzfus and Justin DeGraaf.
Additionally, the Lancers had 10 players reach Scholar-Athlete status from the NAIA or NCCAA. The Scholar-Athletes include Alex Darnell, Caleb Herrold, Marcus Davidson, Seth Martin, Brycen Graber, Brett Sickafoose, Stoltzfus, Sefton, Raasch and DeGraaf.
