PLYMOUTH, Ind. - Grace College's women's golf team took third place in the highly competitive Pretty Lake Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
The 54-hole tournament featured 10 teams, including four of Grace's fellow Crossroads League members in Bethel, Huntington, Mt. Vernon and St. Francis.
The Lancers finished with a three-round score of 991, just eight strokes off Huntington who claimed the team victory. Grace did post the lowest single round score of the tournament with a 323 in the second round.
Leading the way for Grace was
Camille Short. Short went 79, 77, 80 across her three rounds to finish with a 240. Her mark was good for third place in the 53 golfer field.
Grace Beerman also nabbed a top-10 finish with a mark of 246. She closed out the match with her best round of the tournament with a 76 to help her tie for seventh place.
Trinity Bramer shot consistent rounds of 85, 84, 84 to finish in 16th with a mark of 253.
Teammates Lexi Kelly and
Kiley Standring were separated by just two strokes. Kelly carded a mark of 261 and Standring, who improved her score by 13 strokes between rounds one and two, turned in a mark of 263.
The Lancers will be back in action on September 18 at Arbor Trace Invite.
