WARSAW, Ind. - Grace's women's tennis team picked up its third win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Judson on Saturday.
The Lancers had an early advantage after winning the doubles' point.
Jimena Ramirez and Faith Valentine battled their way to a close 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. The doubles' point was clinched with a win by default at the No. 2 position.
Ramirez and Valentine also recorded singles' wins for Grace.
Ramirez was speedy with a near-perfect 6-0, 6-1 victory at the top singles' court. Valentine also won in straight sets at No. 2 (6-4, 6-3).
Short-handed Judson had to forfeit No. 4 and No. 5 singles, resulting in the final 5-2 team victory.
The Lancers will play at home again on Thursday with a 10 a.m. match versus No. 11 Holy Cross.
