PERRY PARK, Ky. - Grace College's women's golf team picked up a head-to-head victory to kickoff the spring portion of their 2025-26 schedule.
The Lancers top carthage in convincing fashion, finishing with a 42-stroke advantage. Grace had seven of the eight lowest scores in the match.
Camille Short led Grace with a 36-hole score of 157. She broke 80 in both rounds and was just two-strokes off the medalist honors. Freshman
Lexi Kelley also had an impressive outing finishing in third place with an overall mark of 162.
Grace Beerman and
Kiley Standring finished neck and neck with marks of 166 and 167 to round out the top five.
Ava Thomas competed as an individual for Grace and shot 83 and 86 to claim a sixth place finish with a total of 169.
Brette Hanavan carded a 170 and
Trinity Bramer shot 172 to close out scoring for Grace's team score.
Reagan Clifton finished the meet in 12th place with her mark of 183 and
Raigan King shot a 98 in her final round to close out her mark with a 198.
"This was a great way to start our spring season," commented Grace head coach
Denny Duncan. "I thought our girls played really well, especially with the wet and windy conditions. Camille was steady for us all weekend and Lexi is really starting to show her potential."
The Lancers will next be in action on April 6 and 7 when they travel to the Lake Powell National Golf Course.
