CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Grace's women's tennis team came up short during its first match on its Spring Break trip.
The Lancers lost 6-1 at Campbellsville, a team who began the year receiving votes in the NAIA.
The Tigers jumped out to an early edge by taking all three doubles' courts. Shannon Brumbaugh and Landry Schrock battled closely before falling 6-4 at No. 3.
In singles' play, Jimena Ramirez cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles. But Grace came up empty on the final five courts.
The Lancers will take on No. 2 Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday and No. 13 Cumberlands on Wednesday.
