South Bend, Ind. - Grace College's women's golf team had another record breaking day on the golf course.
Camille Short posted six birdies in the first round of the Battle at Blackthorn on her way to a mark of 68 and four under par.
Short's was the lowest single-round score in program history, besting the previous mark of 70 which was set previously by Sydney Abbott And Grace May
Closing out round one just behind Short was
Trinity Bramer who shot a 71 through the first 18 holes. Her mark also qualifies a top-five mark in the team's history.
Elyse Veldman led the Lancers "B" team with a score of 79.
As a team the Lancers sit atop the leaderboard with an overall mark of 303. They sit three strokes above Bethel and four strokes above Taylor.
The lancers will conclude the tournament on Tuesday.
