WINONA LAKE, Ind.. - Grace College's women's golf team boasts a plethora of returning talent as the 2026-27 season gets under way.
The Lancers saw six of their top seven performers from a year ago. The Lancers also bring in a loaded recruiting class setting the table for a promising season.
"In addition to an excellent recruiting class, we bring back six of our top seven players from last year," said Grace head coach
Denny Duncan. "This will be by far the deepest team we have ever had."
Grace's freshman class is made up of;
Olivia Stronczek,
Elyse Veldman,
Natalie Winter and
Abby Wright.
Among the Lancers returning class is lone senior
Grace Beerman and juniors
Trinity Bramer,
Camille Short and
Kiley Standring.
"I'm really proud of the way our older girls have assumed leadership roles even in the preseason," Duncan noted. "
Grace Beerman is our only senior, but the juniors have worked hard to support her. They have high expectations for what the team can accomplish on and off the course."
Among Grace's underclassmen,
Ava Thomas was noted as carrying momentum into the new season.
"
Ava Thomas' play especially stands out," Duncan said. She had a tremendous summer and that excellent play has carried over to the fall. We are expecting great things from her and the rest of the underclassmen."
"Our goals have always remained the same," Duncan added. "We want to win the NCCAA National Championship, qualify for the NAIA National Tournament and finish top three in the Crossroads League. I think this team is the most talented we have ever had and we are capable of achieving all of those."
Grace will open their season at the IU East Invitational on September 4.
