2023-24 JUNIOR - Saw action in 25 games for the Lancers… averaged 3.2 rebounds per game… scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a win against Bethel… had 5 points and 7 rebounds in Grace’s NCCAA National Championship win over Carolina… had 8 rebounds against SAU… earned scholar-athlete status.
2022-23 SOPHOMORE - played in all 35 games… averaged 3.9 rebounds a game… was second on the team in FG percentage (.576)... narrowly missed a double double with 10 points and 7 rebounds in Grace’s season opener… had a season high 15 points against Great Lakes Christian… scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the Lancers first even NAIA Tournament win over Pikeville.
2021-22 REDSHIRT - Did not play due to injury.
2020-21 FRESHMAN - Appeared in 19 games during her rookie season … averaged 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game … scored 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting in season-opening games against Grace Christian … recorded 8 points on 4-of-5 shooting in the Crossroads League matchup with Goshen ...ended with 6 points and 5 boards vs. Trinity International … season best 8 rebounds in second meeting with Grace Christian.
PREP - A standout post player from NorthWood … was a Top 100 invitee by Hoosier Basketball Magazine … helped the Panthers make a run to the state title in 2020 … averaged 12.5 points and eight rebounds per game during her senior championship season … had six double-doubles on the year, including 31 points and 14 rebounds against South Bend Riley … during four games during a championship run at the Banker’s Classic tournament in December, she had 54 points and 30 rebounds, including 23 huge points in a semifinal win over Merrillville … in the state tournament run, she amassed 70 points and 57 rebounds in the six wins … had 10 boards in the state finals against Salem.
COACH DAN’S COMMENTS: "We think Kate will fit into our style really well. It's not about the style you were used to, it's do they have the skills that'll make them successful. Can she play basketball? Can she bang inside in this conference? We need that size and physicality. We want those kids who have that drive to succeed. I really don't think she knows her potential yet. We can tap into that."
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE GRACE: "One of the first things I wanted in a team was one with close relationships, and from watching them play and seeing how they act, I knew that I would enjoy being on a team with them. I played against Kaylee and Maddie, but I'm definitely looking forward to playing with them because both are very solid players with great personalities."
