
Brittany Herschberger begins her second season as a part of the Lady Lancers’ coaching staff. Herschberger is a local volleyball product, playing collegiately at Goshen College and in high school at Fairfield High School.
Herschberger was a four-sport athlete at Fairfield when she played volleyball, basketball, tennis and track. She excelled on the volleyball court, earning MVP honors twice and All-Conference honors three times.
She went on to attend one year at Indiana University (Bloomington) where she played club volleyball.
After that year, she decided to transfer to Goshen to play collegiate volleyball. While at Goshen, Herschberger racked up a number of awards including Second Team All-Conference (twice) and Honorable Mention All-Conference (once). Her academic prowess was equally as impressive after winning the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award three times as a Maple Leaf.
After graduation she went on to serve as the assistant varsity coach and head freshman coach at Fairfield High School in 2011. She also has coaching experience in club volleyball after starting the Elkhart Connections team in 2011 and coaching the Outland Volleyball Club for two years while at Goshen.
Herschberger, who is married to Luke, currently lives in Goshen, Ind., where she works in Goshen Community Schools as a Title 1 Instructor.
