Lloyd A. Woolman's legacy includes several lasting changes that still stand today. While serving as the Athletic Director at Grace, he was instrumental in starting several athletic programs including the track and field, cross-country, baseball, tennis, golf and soccer programs.

During his tenure, he always coached at least two sports each year and even ran the intramural program. Woolman won four Mid-Central College Conference championships during his ten-year coaching stint as the track and field coach. He also coached soccer for three years (winning one MCC championship), tennis for five years, and junior varsity basketball for three years.

Woolman also invested into the lives of students as a professor and as the Dean of Men while at Grace.
