AMHERST, N.Y. – Greg Miller scored the first points of the game on Friday against Wilfrid Laurier, and Grace never relinquished the lead the rest of the way.
The Lancers (10-4) topped 90 points for the second time this season in their 92-76 win over the Golden Hawks.
Grace led by as many as 12 points in the first half before settling for a 48-41 edge at the halftime break.
Elliot Smith's strong shooting led Grace's effort in the opening half by draining four 3-pointers on seven attempts for 16 points.
Grace's offense was sizzling in the first 20 minutes of action as they made 57 percent of their field goals (20-of-35) to go along with a 5-for-10 performance from beyond the arc.
The Golden Hawks (3-12) quickly saw their deficit increase to double digits after halftime. Grace grew their cushion to as many as 19 points midway in the second half en route to a 16-point win.
Overall, Grace connected on over half of their shot attempts (52 percent). They also sank 18-of-21 from the free throw line.
Smith led Grace's offense with 19 points and three steals, and Bruce Grimm Jr. added 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting as well as six steals.
Miller nearly tallied a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, and Jared Treadway made 5-of-10 from the field for 13 points.
Kyle Fillman and Karl Columbus each scored eight points for Grace.
The Lancers will enjoy a break for Christmas before resuming action on Jan. 2 at Crossroads League opponent Spring Arbor.
