WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Grace's men's soccer team faces a week of must-wins to continue its 2013 season. The Lancers need two wins this week to advance to the 2013 NCCAA National Championships.
To reach NCCAA Nationals for a third consecutive season under head coach Matt Hotchkin, the Lancers must win the automatic bid for the Midwest Region.
Grace travels to Oakland City on Tuesday for the regional semifinal game at 2 p.m. (Eastern / 1 p.m. Central). With a victory over the Oaks, the Lancers will play in the regional championship at Spring Arbor on Friday.
Steven Fiema and Kyle Hamlin have paced the Lancers so far this fall with seven goals apiece. Fiema and Trent Smith have four assists as well.
The 2013 NCCAA National Championships are held in Kissimmee, Fla. Grace has never played in three straight national tournaments – a trend the Lancers are hoping to buck this week.
